Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 17 September 2026

These terms govern your use of maebridal.com, our showroom at 145 Bay St, Unit 9, Santa Monica, and everything you buy or book from Mae Bridal LLC. By using the site, booking an appointment or placing an order, you agree to them.

Please read the section on Disputes. It requires most disagreements to go to individual arbitration rather than court, and it gives you 30 days to opt out of that.

1. Who we are

Mae Bridal LLC, a California limited liability company, at 145 Bay St, Unit 9, Santa Monica, CA 90405. "We", "us" and "our" mean Mae Bridal. "You" means the person using the site or buying from us.

We are the seller of record for every order placed on maebridal.com, including orders that a designer packs and ships to you directly. Your contract is with us. We are your point of contact from purchase through delivery and any return.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to buy from us or to book an appointment in your own name. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must make the purchase and attend the appointment with you.

3. Accounts

If you create an account, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or close an account that is being used for fraud or abuse.

4. Products, pricing and availability

  • We do our best to show colors, fabrics and details accurately, but screens vary and fabric photographs differently in different light. A slight variation between the photo and the piece is not a defect.
  • Prices are in US dollars and can change without notice. The price that applies is the one shown when you place your order.
  • Availability can change quickly, particularly for items shipped by a designer. If something you ordered turns out to be unavailable, we will tell you and refund you in full.
  • Pricing and description errors. If an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price or with a materially incorrect description, we may cancel the order and refund you, even after the order is confirmed. We will contact you first.
  • We may limit quantities, refuse an order, or discontinue a product at any time.

5. Orders and fulfilment

An order confirmation is an acknowledgement that we received your order, not an acceptance of it. The contract forms when we accept the order, which we do by shipping it or by confirming acceptance in writing.

Items shipped by the designer. Many pieces are shipped to you directly by the designer who makes them. Those items are still sold by Mae Bridal. The product page tells you when an item ships this way. Processing and transit times for those items are set by the designer and are estimates, not guarantees.

If we cannot ship on time. If we cannot ship within the time stated at the point of sale, or within 30 days where no time was stated, we will notify you, give you a revised date, and offer you the choice of waiting or cancelling for a full refund.

Shipping. We ship within the United States only. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery to the address you gave us. Full terms are in our Shipping Policy.

6. Returns

Returns, exchanges and final sale categories are governed by our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: most ready-to-wear is returnable within 14 days of delivery with a return authorisation from us, and made-to-order, lingerie, intimates, swimwear and final sale items are not returnable.

7. Made-to-order pieces

  • A made-to-order piece is cut and made for you after you order. Production begins once payment clears and your size is confirmed.
  • Once production has begun, the order cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded.
  • Sizing is based on the measurements you provide or that we take at your appointment. If measurements you supply are inaccurate, the resulting fit is not a defect and the piece remains non-returnable.
  • Lead times are estimates given to us by the designer and can move. We will keep you updated. We recommend ordering with meaningful margin before your wedding date.
  • Alterations are not included in the price of any garment unless we say so in writing.
  • Handmade pieces vary slightly. Minor variation in beadwork, embroidery, dye lot or trim placement is a characteristic of the work, not a fault.

8. Appointments and the showroom

  • Bridal appointments are by booking. Please arrive on time, since appointments are back to back.
  • Cancellations. Give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. We may decline to rebook after repeated no-shows.
  • Please bring the undergarments and shoe height you expect to wear, and keep your party to the number agreed when booking.
  • Food, drink other than water, and pets are not permitted in fitting areas. Please do not bring makeup or self-tanner onto sample gowns.
  • Damage to samples. You are responsible for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement if a sample is damaged through misuse while in your care.
  • We can refuse service to anyone behaving abusively toward our team or other clients.

9. Try at Home

If you use the Try at Home program, these additional terms apply.

  • We place an authorization hold on your card before items ship. It is released when the items come back in the condition they left in.
  • The program fee is credited toward a purchase.
  • You have 10 days from delivery to return the items. From day 11, a late fee applies.
  • Items must come back unworn beyond trying on, unwashed, unaltered, free of makeup, deodorant, perfume and pet hair, with all tags attached, in the packaging provided.
  • Items returned damaged, stained or missing are charged at full retail price.
  • Try at Home items are for your personal use. Do not wear them to an event, a photoshoot, or anywhere outside your home.

10. Photographs, video and your likeness

  • You are welcome to photograph yourself in the showroom.
  • We will not photograph or film you without asking.
  • If you agree to let us use your image in our marketing, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing team@maebridal.com. We will stop using the image going forward and remove it from our own channels.
  • Please do not photograph or film other clients. Bridal appointments are private.
  • Designers' samples are protected designs. Please do not photograph a sample for the purpose of having it copied.

11. Email and text messages

By giving us your phone number and ticking the consent box, you agree to receive marketing text messages from Mae Bridal at that number, including messages sent by automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Transactional messages about an order you have placed are separate.

Marketing email is sent only to people who signed up, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

12. Reviews and content you post

If you send us a review, photo, video or comment, you keep ownership of it and you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce and display it in connection with Mae Bridal, including on our site and social media. You confirm the content is yours to give, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that anyone identifiable in it has agreed. We may edit for length or decline to publish. We do not pay for reviews and we do not remove honest negative reviews.

13. Creator and affiliate program

If you take part in our affiliate program, commission terms are set out in the program agreement you accept when you join. Creators must disclose the relationship clearly and conspicuously in every post that contains an affiliate link or a gifted item, as the FTC requires. We may end a partnership and withhold commission for undisclosed promotion, misleading claims about our products, or content that damages the brand.

14. Artificial intelligence on our site

Some features on our site are powered by AI, including chat, styling suggestions and size recommendations. Where you are interacting with AI rather than a person, we tell you at the start and you can ask for a person at any time.

AI output is a suggestion, not advice. Size and fit recommendations are estimates based on the information given and are not a guarantee of fit. Nothing an AI feature says changes these terms, our prices, or our return policy. If an AI feature tells you something that contradicts this page or a policy page, the policy page is what applies.

15. Acceptable use

Do not use our site to break the law, harass anyone, upload malicious code, or misrepresent who you are. Do not scrape, crawl, harvest or copy our content, product data or images by automated means, and do not use our content to train a machine learning model, without our written permission. Do not attempt to interfere with the site's security or availability.

16. Intellectual property

The Mae Bridal name, logo, site design, photography and written content belong to us or to the designers we represent, and are protected by copyright and trademark. You may not use them commercially without our written permission. Designer names and marks belong to the designers.

17. Disclaimers

We provide the site and our services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted or error free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing here excludes any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under California law.

18. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mae Bridal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability arising out of any order or your use of the site is limited to the amount you paid us for the order in question.

We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier delays, supplier failures, natural disasters, strikes and government action. We recommend wedding insurance for anything time-critical.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Mae Bridal against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.

20. Disputes

Talk to us first. Before starting any formal proceeding, email team@maebridal.com with a description of the problem and what you want. We will try to resolve it within 30 days. Most things are fixable this way.

Arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, you and Mae Bridal agree that any dispute arising out of these terms or your purchase will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration will take place in Los Angeles County, California, or by videoconference or on documents if you prefer. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.

Class action waiver. You and Mae Bridal each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims.

Small claims. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead, if it qualifies.

How to opt out. You can opt out of arbitration and the class action waiver by emailing team@maebridal.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" within 30 days of your first purchase or of the date you first agreed to these terms, whichever is later. Include your name and order number. Opting out does not affect anything else in these terms, and we will not treat you any differently for doing it.

If this section is unenforceable in whole or in part, the rest of these terms still apply and the dispute goes to the courts named below.

21. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Where a dispute is not subject to arbitration, it will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and we each consent to their jurisdiction.

22. General

  • These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between us.
  • If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given it up.
  • We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. A change to the Disputes section does not apply to a dispute we already knew about.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours if the business is sold.
