TERMS & CONDITIONS — TRY AT HOME PROGRAM

By placing a Try at Home order, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully, as they explain the fees, the try-on window, and the charges that apply if a gown is returned late, damaged, or not at all.

1. Eligibility

The Try at Home program is available to customers who are at least 18 years old, are shipping to a residential address within the United States, and are paying with a valid credit card. We are unable to ship to PO boxes, hotels, offices, or other non-residential or international addresses. We recommend using a credit card rather than a debit card, as the program places a temporary authorization hold (see Section 6).

2. What is included

Each Try at Home box includes the gown or gowns you select, a measuring tape, a guide to taking your own measurements at home, and a prepaid return shipping label. You may order up to three gowns per box.

3. Fees

  • One gown: $100
  • Each additional gown: $50
  • Up to three gowns total

Try-on fees cover the cost of preparing, shipping, and handling your box, both to you and back to us. Your try-on fee is applied as credit toward your gown if you place an order for that style. If you return all gowns without purchasing, the try-on fee is not refunded. The credit applies to the gown purchase price only and excludes shipping, taxes, and alterations. [Decision point: if you do not want the fee credited toward purchase, this clause should be revised.]

4. Your try-on window

You have five (5) days to try on your gowns. Your window begins on the date your box is delivered, as shown by the carrier's tracking. Your return must be postmarked, or dropped off with the carrier, by the end of day five.

Example: if your box is delivered on a Monday, your five days run Monday through Friday, and your return should be postmarked by that Friday.

5. Late fees

If your return is not postmarked by the end of day five, a late fee of $20 per day applies for each day your box remains unreturned, beginning on day six. Late fees are charged to the card on file.

6. Authorization hold and payment authorization

When you place a Try at Home order, you authorize Mae Bridal to:

  • charge your card for the try-on fees described in Section 3;
  • place a temporary authorization hold of $500 per gown on your card while the gown or gowns are in your possession (this works like a hotel hold and is released once your gowns are returned in acceptable condition, typically within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank);
  • charge your card for any late fees described in Section 5; and
  • charge your card for the full retail price of any gown that is not returned, as described in Section 7.

You agree that Mae Bridal may keep your payment method on file for the purposes described in these terms. An authorization hold is not a charge. Authorization holds may expire after several days depending on your card network, and we may re-authorize your card as needed while a gown remains in your possession.

7. Gowns not returned

If a gown is not postmarked for return by the end of day ten (10), the gown is considered purchased. On day eleven (11), your card on file will be charged the full retail price of that gown, less any try-on fee already paid. Once this charge is made, the gown is yours to keep and is non-returnable. Accrued late fees for days six through ten will be waived once the gown converts to a purchase.

8. Condition and damage

Gowns are samples and must be returned in the same condition in which they were received, with all tags attached. Please try gowns on over clean, dry undergarments, and keep makeup, deodorant, self-tanner, perfume, food, and drink away from the fabric. Gowns may not be worn to any event, altered, cut, pinned through the fabric, washed, or steamed.

If a gown is returned with damage, stains, marks, makeup or tan transfer, pet hair, a strong odor, missing tags, or signs of wear beyond ordinary try-on, you may be charged a cleaning or repair fee, or, if the gown cannot be restored, the full retail price of the gown plus the cost of a replacement. You will be notified before any damage charge is applied.

9. Returns and shipping

Please return all gowns from your box together, in the original packaging, using only the prepaid label provided. If your label is lost, contact us for a replacement before shipping. If you return your box using a different carrier or label, we are not responsible for any loss or damage in transit, and you may be charged for gowns that do not reach us. You may not keep one gown and return the rest in order to request a new box for comparison. Return shipping for gowns sent back within the program is covered by your try-on fee.

10. Availability

Try at Home gowns are samples in a limited range of sizes and are intended to help you assess style, silhouette, and approximate fit. They are not a guarantee of your final size. Your purchased gown is ordered separately in your measurements. Samples are subject to availability, and we will contact you if a selected style is unavailable.

11. Cancellations

You may cancel a Try at Home order for a full refund of the try-on fee before your box ships. Once a box has shipped, try-on fees are non-refundable.

12. Limitation of liability

The Try at Home program is offered as a convenience. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mae Bridal is not liable for any indirect or incidental loss arising from your use of the program, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in try-on fees for the order in question.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in effect at the time of your order apply to that order.
