Théoro is a Spanish atelier working in the slowest way there is. Every piece is cut and sewn to order in a haute couture workshop in Spain, in limited numbers, by the hands that do the beadwork, the bobbin lace and the hand-inserted French lace themselves.
The house has a clear point of view: very soft fabric, avant-garde shapes, and almost no decoration unless the decoration is the whole dress. The range runs from bias-cut silk slip wedding dresses to a linen gown, lace and silk wool corsetry, feather and beaded capes, veils and separates. One idea runs through all of it, which is that a wedding dress should be wearable on the day and long after it.
Made to order, with an estimated lead time of 3 to 6 months. Samples are available to try at our Santa Monica showroom.
