About Designer
Their Studios was founded by Lauren and Alexander Ludwig, who wanted to make timeless jewelry that could be passed from one generation to the next without using up new resources to do it. The name carries the idea. Jewelry is borrowed from those who came before, worn for a while, then handed on. The house designs genderless pieces and set out to make quiet luxury reach further than the fine jewelry market usually allows.
Everything is made from recycled material: recycled 14k gold, gold vermeil laid over sterling, and 925 silver, sometimes set with stones and pearls. The house describes its work as the transformation of gold and silver from raw to fluid to forged, and that softness reads in the finished metal. Mae Bridal carries the lockets, earrings and cuffs, smooth rounded shapes a bride can wear on the day and keep wearing after it.
