Heaven Mayhem: the jewelry label bringing 1970s glamour to modern brides

Heaven Mayhem Bruma Choker in gold tone at Mae Bridal, bridal statement necklace, sculptural bridal jewelry, Santa Monica bridal

Heaven Mayhem started with 900 dollars and a stack of vintage finds. Pia Mance began sourcing pieces and hand tying necklaces herself in 2022, and the label has since grown into a full jewelry house working out of Santa Barbara, with design based in Los Angeles. The point of view has stayed the same since day one, pieces pulled from the vintage fashion of the 1970s and 1980s, built to outlast a season rather than mark one. We carry the jewelry and the sunglasses side by side, because both do the same job for a bride, a little polish for the days around the wedding that aren't the wedding day itself.

What makes a Heaven Mayhem piece different

Heaven Mayhem works mostly in gold tone and silver tone metal, cast into the sculptural, knotted shapes the house is best known for. The sensibility is lifted straight from the 1970s and 1980s, warm metal, real presence, nothing dainty. A handful of styles, like the Côte earrings, are designed to be worn mismatched on purpose, one gold, one silver, which is Heaven Mayhem's own idea of a detail rather than an accident. The line has grown to include eyewear too, so a bride can match a pair of sunglasses to the jewelry she is already wearing to the rehearsal or the honeymoon.

The pieces

Bruma choker

Heaven Mayhem Bruma Choker in gold tone at Mae Bridal, bridal statement necklace, sculptural bridal jewelry, Santa Monica bridal

The Bruma choker sits close to the throat, cast in that warm Heaven Mayhem gold tone with the kind of sculptural detail the house keeps coming back to. It's available in gold tone or silver tone, so it reads equally well against a high neckline or a plunging one. Shop the Bruma choker, $140.

Matilde cuff

Heaven Mayhem Matilde Cuff in gold tone at Mae Bridal, sculptural bridal bracelet, bridal cuff, Santa Monica bridal

The Matilde cuff is the easiest way into the Heaven Mayhem look, one solid, sculptural shape in gold tone or silver tone that slides on and does the rest of the work on its own. It layers under a sleeve or sits alone on a bare wrist for the reception. Shop the Matilde cuff, $100.

Côte earrings

Heaven Mayhem Cote Earrings in gold tone at Mae Bridal, mismatched bridal earrings, statement bridal jewelry, Santa Monica bridal

Côte is the pair built for mismatching, one gold tone, one silver tone, worn together on purpose. It's a small way to make a classic bridal earring feel like it belongs to the bride wearing it rather than the catalogue it came from. Shop the Côte earrings, $120.

Archer rectangle earrings

Heaven Mayhem Archer Rectangle Earrings in gold and black enamel at Mae Bridal, bridal stud earrings, modern bridal jewelry, Santa Monica bridal

Archer trades the knot motif for a clean black enamel rectangle set into a gold tone or silver tone stud, the architectural side of Heaven Mayhem's range. They sit close to the ear, so they hold up under a veil without fighting it. Shop the Archer rectangle earrings, $100.

Esme sunglasses

Heaven Mayhem Esme Sunglasses in tortoise at Mae Bridal, bridal sunglasses, honeymoon eyewear, Santa Monica bridal

Esme is where the eyewear side of Heaven Mayhem meets the same 1970s point of view as the jewelry, a rounded frame in tortoise or black with a brown lens. It's the easiest way to carry the look from the getting-ready suite straight through to the honeymoon. Shop the Esme sunglasses, $170.

Celeste earrings

Heaven Mayhem Celeste Earrings in gold tone at Mae Bridal, art deco bridal earrings, statement bridal jewelry, Santa Monica bridal

Celeste leans into an art deco line, a gold tone or silver tone drop with the kind of geometry that photographs well under reception lighting. It's a quieter piece than the knot earrings, built for a bride who wants the detail without the volume. Shop the Celeste earrings, $100.

Heaven Mayhem jewelry, answered

What is the story behind Heaven Mayhem?

Pia Mance started Heaven Mayhem in 2022 with 900 dollars, sourcing vintage pieces and hand tying necklaces herself. The label is now based in Santa Barbara with design in Los Angeles, and the point of view, 1970s and 1980s vintage fashion, has stayed consistent as the house has grown to include eyewear.

Is Heaven Mayhem jewelry real gold?

Pieces are finished in gold tone or silver tone metal. The exact composition is listed on each product page, so check there if that detail matters for your piece.

Can Heaven Mayhem earrings be worn mismatched?

Yes, on purpose in some cases. The Côte earrings are designed as a gold tone and silver tone pair meant to be worn together, rather than two unrelated singles.

What is Mae Bridal's return policy on Heaven Mayhem pieces?

Order and return details are confirmed on each product page before you check out, since they can vary piece to piece. Email team@maebridal.com before you order if you have a question, we're glad to help you choose.
