Ashley Stambouli is a Miami based occasion wear label founded in 2018 by the Venezuelan born designer of the same name. She grew up around dressmaking, her grandmother worked in fashion, and she trained at the School of Fashion Design in Boston. The house covers bridal, cocktail and evening, including the Reverie and Lumiere collections, and is known for a modern romance: soft, classic silhouettes cut close to the feminine form, with one considered detail doing the talking.
Every piece is made to order in the designer's Miami atelier, which is how the house keeps its runs small and its finishing close to hand. Construction is the point. Sculpted shoulders, sheer panels and open backs are built into the pattern rather than applied on top, and the label also works in a structured neoprene that holds a clean line on the body. A bride recognizes the work by that quiet, deliberate detail.
