Awe Inspired was founded in 2018 by gemologist Jill Johnson, who made the first Goddess Necklace as a talisman for herself after surviving cancer three times. Her son Max later joined her in building the house. Designed in Los Angeles, it is known for pendants that carry a figure from mythology, a goddess, a saint, a heroine, chosen for what her story means to the woman wearing her. The house gives 20 percent of proceeds to its charity partners.
Pieces are made in .925 sterling silver, in 14k gold vermeil laid thickly over sterling, and in solid 14k gold, set with genuine gemstones picked for meaning: onyx for protection, moonstone for intuition, lapis for wisdom. Designs begin in Los Angeles and are finished by jewelers in Thailand, Italy and the United States. The signature is the medallion itself, a small raised figure a bride can wear under a gown or over it.
