About Designer
Kimono Dragon is a New York jewelry house founded in 2019 by Laura Schultz. It began as a curated vintage collection, heavy on the 1980s and 1990s, gathered on buying trips that run from Athens to Paris to Palm Beach, and every piece has to pass the house test of whether it is fabulous. In 2024 the label added Laura Gray, a contemporary line named for the founder's grandmother.
The Laura Gray pieces are built on intricate hand enamelwork set with rare vintage gemstones, so a new necklace or pair of earrings carries the same weight as the archive beside it. The vintage side is sourced rather than manufactured, so those pieces are one of a kind by nature. For a bride the draw is color and presence, an enameled clutch or a jeweled collar that a plain gown can hold.
