• Steam the tulle on low, or hang the scarf in a steamy bathroom, to release fold creases. Never iron directly over the tulle or the pearls.
• Keep perfume and hairspray away from the faux pearls so the finish stays clean.
• Store loosely rolled, or hanging at full length, rather than folded, so the doubled length does not hold creases.
• The longer lengths trail on the floor and gather dust, so carry the end when moving.

Tailored Tulle was founded in 2020 by Katie Valleau, its owner and designer, who began making veils while planning her own wedding and could not find the one she had in mind.

Drawing on a background in sewing and design, she built a small label in Portland, Oregon, where a team of women design and hand sew every piece to order, one at a time. Her signature is the finish: fine hand worked edges on light tulle, so every veil falls softly and every scarf drapes with ease. The range runs from veils in a spread of lengths to bridal scarves, capes, sleeves, hair combs and pins.

You are choosing the length and the pearl design. The lengths below are the full length of the scarf, so account for it doubling and wrapping around your neck.

• Fingertip, 72 inches, lands around your hand when your arms are down.
• Waltz, 100 inches, lands between your lower calves and your knees depending on your height.
• Chapel, 156 inches, drags approximately 6 to 14 inches on the ground depending on your height, and works well with puddle trains or a dress with no train.
• Cathedral, 198 inches, drags approximately 2.5 to 3.5 feet behind you depending on your height.
