• Steam the tulle on low or hang the veil in a steamy bathroom to release fold creases, and keep a hot iron off the tulle.
• Keep perfume and hairspray away from the scattered pearls, and get ready before you place the veil.
• Store hanging or loosely rolled so the pearl edge is not crushed.
• Spot clean only, working around the pearls.

Tailored Tulle was founded in 2020 by Katie Valleau, its owner and designer, who began making veils while planning her own wedding and could not find the one she had in mind.

Drawing on a background in sewing and design, she built a small label in Portland, Oregon, where a team of women design and hand sew every piece to order, one at a time. Her signature is the finish: fine hand worked edges on light tulle, so every veil falls softly and every scarf drapes with ease. The range runs from veils in a spread of lengths to bridal scarves, capes, sleeves, hair combs and pins.

You are choosing the length of the back of the veil, measured from the comb down.

• The blusher is 30 inches, unless you select a shorter veil length, in which case it matches that shorter length.
• Elbow, 30 inches, falls at the elbow.
• Fingertip, 38 inches, falls at the fingertips with arms down.
• Waltz, 58 inches, falls between the knee and the ankle.
• Chapel, 90 inches, pools slightly on the floor behind.
• Cathedral, 110 inches, extends well past the train.
