• Steam on low or hang the veil in a steamy bathroom to release fold creases, and never set a hot iron on tulle.
• Hang the veil at full length ahead of the day so the 52 inch blusher falls smooth.
• Store hanging or loosely rolled rather than folded, so creases do not set.
• Spot clean only, blotting with a clean damp cloth.

Tailored Tulle was founded in 2020 by Katie Valleau, its owner and designer, who began making veils while planning her own wedding and could not find the one she had in mind.

Drawing on a background in sewing and design, she built a small label in Portland, Oregon, where a team of women design and hand sew every piece to order, one at a time. Her signature is the finish: fine hand worked edges on light tulle, so every veil falls softly and every scarf drapes with ease. The range runs from veils in a spread of lengths to bridal scarves, capes, sleeves, hair combs and pins.

You are choosing the length of the back of the veil, measured from the comb down, plus the color, while the blusher stays the same on every option.

• The blusher is 52 inches and lands between the knees and the ankles, depending on your height and where the veil is placed in your hair.
• Waltz, 58 inches, falls between the knee and the ankle.
• Chapel, 90 inches, pools slightly on the floor behind.
• Cathedral, 110 inches, extends well past the train.
• Most bridal gowns are ivory or light ivory, which is worth checking against your dress before you choose a color.
