• Steam on low or hang the veil in a steamy bathroom to release fold creases, and keep a hot iron off the tulle and off the droplets
• Keep perfume and hairspray away from the hand placed droplets so they stay clear
• Store the veil hanging or loosely rolled rather than folded, so the tulle stays smooth and the droplets are not pressed against each other
• Handle the veil by the tulle rather than by the droplets when you lift or move it

Tailored Tulle was founded in 2020 by Katie Valleau, its owner and designer, who began making veils while planning her own wedding and could not find the one she had in mind.

Drawing on a background in sewing and design, she built a small label in Portland, Oregon, where a team of women design and hand sew every piece to order, one at a time. Her signature is the finish: fine hand worked edges on light tulle, so every veil falls softly and every scarf drapes with ease. The range runs from veils in a spread of lengths to bridal scarves, capes, sleeves, hair combs and pins.

On this veil you are choosing how far the dew drops travel and how long the veil is, and the length is measured from the crown down.

• Elbow, 30 inches, falls at the elbow.
• Fingertip, 38 inches, falls at the fingertips with your arms down.
• Waltz, 58 inches, falls between the knee and the ankle.
• Chapel, 90 inches, pools slightly on the floor behind you.
• Cathedral, 110 inches, extends well past the train of your gown.
• The droplets either fade out near fingertip length or cascade all the way to the bottom of the length you select, so on the longer veils the two styles read very differently.
